Cookie Policy
We keep cookie use minimal. This page explains exactly what we set and why.
Effective date: July 1, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as keeping you logged in — across page loads and sessions.
2. How Clearbook Uses Cookies
Clearbook uses only essential cookies — those strictly necessary to provide the service you requested. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics.
The table below lists every cookie Clearbook sets:
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you logged in to Clearbook (session authentication) | 1 week | Clearbook (Supabase) |
| sb-*-auth-token-code-verifier | PKCE code verifier used during OAuth sign-in flow | Session | Clearbook (Supabase) |
| __stripe_mid | Stripe fraud detection and security (shown only on payment pages) | 1 year | Stripe, Inc. |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe session fraud prevention | 30 minutes | Stripe, Inc. |
3. LocalStorage
In addition to cookies, Clearbook uses your browser's localStorage to store your cookie consent preference under the key cb-cookie-consent. This is not a cookie and is not transmitted to any server. It simply prevents the consent banner from appearing on every page load.
4. Third-Party Cookies: Stripe
When you interact with payment functionality (connecting a Stripe account or a client making a payment), Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and security. These are set by Stripe, Inc. and governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Clearbook does not control these cookies.
5. What We Do NOT Use Cookies For
- Advertising or retargeting
- Cross-site behavioral tracking
- Third-party analytics (we do not embed Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar)
- Selling data to data brokers
6. Managing and Deleting Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Here are links to cookie-management instructions for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note that disabling the Clearbook authentication cookies (sb-* cookies) will prevent you from staying logged in, as they are essential to the service.
To clear your cookie consent preference, open your browser's developer tools, navigate to Application → Local Storage → useclearbook.app, and delete the cb-cookie-consent key. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we add or remove cookies. Changes will be noted with a new effective date at the top of this page.
